BMI provides courses for students who wish to formalize their learning, enabling them to take the BMI & ABRSM Practical & Theory examinations (Grades 1 to 8). BMI will guide them to the successful completion of these exams.

Preparation for ABRSM Music Theory Exams
Studying music on an instrument is one approach to music, while studying music theory is another. We encourage the development of theory and musicianship skills from the earliest stages of instrumental learning. As instrumental skills progress, development in music theory and musicianship becomes increasingly important in helping students to perform with sensitivity, understanding and confidence. Theory exams provide assessment of the theoretical knowledge necessary to become a well-rounded musician.
Theory examinations are held at St. Christopher School (Isa Town) under the supervision of an ABRSM representative three times annually in February, June & October.
- Grade 1 – ( 6 – 8 lessons ) by finishing this course successfully can receive BMI Grade 1 Certificate .
- Grade 2 – ( 8 – 10 lessons ) by finishing this course successfully can receive BMI Grade2 Certificate .
